Abraham Stephens

Chasing The Light is a three-piece band from central Maine blending anthemic alternative rock with heartfelt, worshipful lyrics. Comprised of singer/guitarist Abraham Stephens, drummer Nate DeLeon, and guitarist Evan LaFountain, the band has spent nearly a decade developing a sound rooted in faith and shaped by alternative indie rock.

In 2017, the band released their debut EP, Horizons, to a warm reception. Marcus Hathcock of New Release Today praised the band for presenting “the poise and production of industry veterans,” calling their music familiar yet fresh. From 2021–2024, Chasing The Light released a series of independent singles, including “Now I’m Living,” which has surpassed 2 million Spotify streams.

The band later explored alternative worship with The Cloud, an atmospheric EP that expanded their sound and songwriting. Now, Chasing The Light is returning to their alternative indie-rock roots, entering the studio this fall to record a new album inspired by “Strength,” which has recently gained viral attention online.

At the heart of the new record is an honest exploration of real life and faith—struggles, doubt, redemption, hope, and the choice to believe over fear. Chasing The Light’s music seeks to meet listeners in the tension of their own stories, offering songs that are both deeply personal and ultimately hopeful.
